The Prince of Wales will visit Salisbury Plain to meet soldiers from the 4th (Mechanised) Brigade who are conducting their Mission Rehearsal Exercise before deployment to Afghanistan in April. His Royal Highness will meet soldiers and officers who will work in the Taskforce Helmand Headquarters in Afghanistan. As Colonel-in-Chief, he will meet soldiers from the Royal Dragoon Guards, the 1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment and the 1st Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Regiment (who are attached to the 1st Battalion, The Mercian Regiment Battle Group) Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.
