The Duchess of Cornwall's father dies

The Duchess of Cornwall’s father Major Bruce Shand, MC and Bar, passed away on Sunday 11th June 2006. He had been unwell for some time and his family was with him when he died at his home in Dorset. He was 89.
On 16th June 2006 The Duchess of Cornwall, accompanied by The Prince of Wales, attended the private family funeral of her father at Holy Trinity Church in Stourpaine, Dorset. Princes William and Harry also attended the funeral with around 150 other mourners.
