The Prince's Trust 30th Birthday

This week, The Prince’s Trust is celebrating its 30th anniversary, having helped over half a million young people in the UK and supported or helped to set up over 66,000 businesses.

An hour-long documentary on the work of The Trust was broadcast in the UK on Tuesday. The programme, called “The Prince of Wales: Up Close” included an interview with The Prince explaining why he set up the charity in 1976 and what he hopes it achieves.

The film also included footage of Trust projects and Royal visits over the period of a year, together with contributions from young people, celebrity ambassadors and other commentators. The documentary will be repeated on Sunday 21st May at 5pm on ITV1.

On Saturday 20th May, ITV1 are hosting a three and half hour programme entitled “The Prince’s Trust 30th Birthday Party – Live” which will include a unique pop concert from the Tower of London attended by The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry.

As part of the programme, The Prince of Wales and his sons have pre-recorded an interview at Highgrove with television presenters Ant and Dec.
