TRH visit to the United States of America, 27th – 28th January

Their Royal Highnesses’ recent trip to the United States of America was wrongly reported by some media organisations as being designed to pick up an environmental award.
This was not the case. The visit was planned before the date of the Award Ceremony was known as part of a series of high profile official visits between the United Kingdom and the United States.
These visits underpin the important relationship between the two countries, which are confronting similar problems such as urban regeneration and social inclusion and which can learn from one another.
This particular visit, which included nine engagements in two days, followed three themes, all of which are priorities for the United Kingdom Government: urban regeneration, youth employment and environmental conservation.
