Mark Leishman appointed Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall

Mark Leishman has been appointed Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall with effect from tomorrow (Saturday 1st August).
Mark has been Senior Deputy Private Secretary at Clarence House since January 2009, and has been with The Prince of Wales’s Household since 2003. He began as an Assistant Private Secretary with responsibility for HRH’s interests in Education, Health and in Scotland.
Mark joined the Household from BBC Nations and Regions in London where he was Head of Public Policy and previously had been Head of Corporate Affairs at BBC Scotland. He has a journalistic background having worked in local newspapers and radio, before joining The Sunday Times in Glasgow and then becoming a BBC News Presenter.
