Thursday 5th July 2012

The Prince of Wales, President WWF-UK, will meet school children who are involved in their Green Ambassador scheme. The children will be taking part in a Green Ambassadors Summit and will participate in a series of workshops – growing, art and letter writing – with an environmental theme. They will also get the chance to tour the Highgrove gardens to see the sustainability features of the estate. The Green Ambassador’s scheme aims to encourage a new generation of sustainability champions, Highgrove House, Doughton, Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

The Prince of Wales will also meet Mrs Barbara Smith, Managing Director, and Dr Gerardo Garcia, Curator of Lower Vertebrates and Invertebrates, both from Chester Zoo. The zoo supports the Amphibian Ark conservation project.

Ecuadorian Scientist Dr. Luis A. Coloma will also meet The Prince of Wales as the Amphibian Ark project is undertaking research in the Ecuadorian rainforests. HRH will receive a gift from Mrs Smith and Dr Garcia in recognition of his work in helping to protect the rainforests around the world.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron of the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, will celebrate the charity’s 25th anniversary by officially opening the new headquarters in Newquay Airport, Trevithick Downs, Newquay TR8 4DY.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will meet cadets taking part in ‘Exercise Independence’ in the event of a local emergency, and meet cadets who have completed the Duke of Cornwall Community Safety Award, Quay Street, Lostwithiel PL22 0BS.

The Duke of Cornwall, President of The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, will visit the Duchy Palace to see the restoration currently underway, Quay Street, Lostwithiel PL22 0BS.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will meet members of the Bryher gig club, Sussex Gig Shed, Bryher, Isles of Scilly, TR23 0PR

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will open the new Bryher Shop and Post Office, and the Art Gallery, Isles of Scilly, TR23 0PR

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will attend a reception for residents of the Isles of Scilly at the new Bryher Community Centre, Isles of Scilly, TR23 0PR

Monday 2nd July 2012

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will officially open Heartlands, meeting staff, supporters and the local community involved in this community-led regeneration project, Heartlands, Redruth, TR15 3QY.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will attend a Garden Party to celebrate Cornwall and to mark His Royal Highness’s 60th anniversary as The Duke of Cornwall, Trewithen, Truro TR2 4DD.
