The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall attended the 154th Royal Norfolk Show at Norfolk Showground today.

The Royal Norfolk Show offers visitors first-hand experience of agriculture and rural life through demonstrations, displays and exhibits, alongside top-level livestock and equine competitions. Organised by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) since 1847, The Royal Norfolk Show is the UK's largest two-day county show.

To begin the afternoon, Their Royal Highnesses jointly visited the new Broads Village, which demonstrated the importance of Norfolk’s network of rivers and lakes.

The Prince and The Duchess then split to explore the show separately. His Royal Highness, former President of the RNAA, visited the Discovery Zone and viewed competitions in the sheep and cattle rings and Her Royal Highness watched performing arts on the green before visiting the Military Village and the Flower and Garden Show.

The Duchess also saw some live cookery demonstrations at the ‘Grow it, Cook it, Eat it' stage and viewed Show Jumping in the Grand Ring. The 2016 unifying theme ‘Grow it, Cook it, Eat it’ brings together many of the activities taking place at the show to promote agriculture and food production in Norfolk.
