Clarence House joins Google+

Clarence House launches Google+

Clarence House has joined social network Google+ adding to its number of other existing social media channels.

The Clarence House page on Google+ will bring updates about The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Google+ allows users to post updates, links, photos and videos and adds to a number of other social media channels used as part of Clarence House's online communications including:

Storify, which we joined in October 2011, is an online platform where users can tell stories using social media such as photos, tweets and videos. Together the collated content helps to tell a particular story;

• The Clarence House Twitter account launched in November 2010 and has over 152,000 followers to date. It provides up-to-date information about The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry;

• The British Monarchy account on Flickr with the addition of behind-the-scenes exclusive images taken at engagements;

The Royal Channel on YouTube has more than 150 films made in-house by Clarence House about Their Royal Highnesses and their work;

The British Monarchy page on Facebook was launched in 2010 which helps people to follow the latest news and gallery images and read the court circular;

• The Clarence House SoundCloud account launched in November 2011, is an online platform for sharing concise audio recordings. It was used extensively during Their Royal Highnesses' overseas tour to Africa in 2011, highlighting the sounds of Africa and interviews from the visit.
