The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts launches the Face Britain project
20th May 2011
The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts, has announced the launch of the Face Britain project.
A nationwide arts project, Face Britain will be running between September 2011 – March 2012, with the aim to encourage children and young people aged between four and 16 to create a self-portrait in a style of their choice, before uploading it to an online gallery.
Children & The Arts uses the power of the arts to transform the lives of disadvantaged children throughout the UK. The charity creates long-term partnerships between arts organisations and local schools to give children access to the arts.
The new project aims to celebrate children and young people in the UK in the lead up to HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
His Royal Highness has a keen interest in the arts, and helping young people realise their full potential.
