The Duchess of Cornwall attended a charity fashion show at London’s High Court this evening, in aid of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Her Royal Highness was guest of honour at the show, staged in the impressive lobby of London's High Court, featuring clothes from the spring/summer collection of fashion designer, Anna Valentine.
The evening was in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, of which The Duchess is President, and was hosted by Hollywood actor Rupert Everett. It also featured former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, a Patron of the organisation.
In the foreword to the brochure which accompanied the fashion show, The Duchess said she first became involved with Maggie’s Cancer Care when she visited a centre in Edinburgh three years ago.
She added: "On that first visit, I was immediately struck by the sense of light and colour, warmth and space.
"Each Maggie's Centre is a beautifully designed building offering essential advice and emotional support, a sanctuary in a world where everything has been turned upside down."
The Duchess was wearing an Anna Valentine outfit of a black chiffon skirt and matching fitted jacket. She also carried a Lulu Guinness handbag featuring a stylised image of a Royal Mail stamp complete with an image of The Queen.
Guinness, who was among the guests, was delighted that the Duchess was carrying the limited edition bag.
She added: "I think it shows she's got a great sense of humour. I'm quite touched."
