The Duchess of Cornwall signs the book of condolence at the Polish Social and Cultural Centre in Hammersmith
21st April 2010
The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Polish Social and Cultural Association in Hammersmith today to pay her respects to the Polish President Lech Kaczynski and to those who died with him in an aeroplane crash, including his wife Maria.
The Prince and The Duchess spent time with President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria during their visit to Poland in March, and were guests of honour at a state banquet hosted at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.
Their Royal Highnesses said they were "shocked and deeply upset" to hear of their deaths.
At the cultural centre The Duchess signed her name in the book and met staff.
The Prince of Wales paid his respects at the centre yesterday.
