The Duchess visits a Barnardo's project in Harlesden, London

The Duchess of Cornwall met families helped by a Barnardo’s project in Harlesden today.
Her Royal Highness, who is President of Barnardo’s, was keen to see first-hand the facilities offered by the Freeman Family Centre in North West London, and to meet members of the local community who have benefited from the project.
The Freeman Family Centre opened in October 2007. It is a family support and contact service, managed by Barnardo's and opened in partnership with the Iris and David Freeman Charitable Trust and Brent’s Children and Families Social Care Division.
The Family Centre is purpose-built, with family rooms, an internet café area, sensory room, ball pool, a large activity area and an outdoor adventure playground.
On arrival The Duchess was welcomed by local dignitaries and Martin Narey, Chief Executive of Barnardo's and David Freeman.
Her Royal Highness toured the centre’s intervention and assessment rooms and meet staff before chatting with families.
The Duchess met Celeste Masoudi, 49, a single parent of four children who has been using the centre's facilities for two years.
He said: "I came here to help cope with being a single parent and bring up my family - their help in developing my parenting skills has been invaluable."
The Duchess praised Mr Masoudi on bringing up his family so well, telling him: "I think you've done a fantastic job. Many congratulations, you have such beautifully mannered smart children - a lot of people can learn from you."
