The Prince of Wales visits a soundcheck for charity event Sunflower Jam
8th July 2011
The Prince of Wales rubbed shoulders with rock stars ahead of a charity concert tonight.
His Royal Highness listened to a soundcheck by the band Deep Purple ahead of their gig at London's Royal Albert Hall.
After the performance of iconic track Smoke on the Water, The Prince met the band and comedian Bill Bailey, who demonstrated how to play a set of cow bells.
Bailey also showed off his six arm guitar, in homage to Deep Purple's double arm version.
Musician Newton Faulkner, actor Jeremy Irons and American blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa were also in attendance at the Sunflower Jam Concert.
The event was developed in 2006 by Jackie Paice, the wife of Deep Purple drummer Ian, to raise money for people who can benefit from complementary therapy.
