The Prince of Wales visits Trinity Buoy Wharf centre for the arts and creative industries
15th June 2011
The Prince of Wales visited a centre for the arts and creative industries in Trinity Buoy Wharf today, meeting students, artists and craftsmen who benefit from the centre.
Situated in the Docklands, Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of its most historic sites. Having been derelict for 10 years, in 1998 Urban Space Management won a London Docklands Development Corporation Competition to develop the site into an arts and creative industries centre.
The once derelict site is now home to a community of over 500 people.
During the tour, His Royal Highness visited a music studio made from a converted shipping container, and also met a fashion designer and a cafe owner.
