The Princes' Charities Forum
13th September 2009
Prince William hosted a gathering of representatives from numerous charities close to his heart at the latest Princes' Charities Forum at St. James's Palace.
The Forum brings together approximately 20 organisations which Princes William and Harry have close links to, with the aim of exchanging ideas and resources.
The charities include Sentebale, WellChild and Mountain Rescue England and Wales, and representatives from each of the Armed Forces also attend each Forum.
Prince William chaired the meeting at which the charities update each other on significant news and events, and to talk about their objectives for the future.
Forum meetings are held biannually and provide an opportunity for the Charities to update The Princes on their recent events and ventures, and to talk about their strategic objectives.
Previous collaborations between organisations include an expedition in the Lake District, organised by Mountain Rescue England and Wales (MREW) to benefit young people from the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.
