Sentebale - Mants'ase Children's Home
During his gap year Prince Harry visited Lesotho and spent time helping out at Mants’ase Children’s Home near Mohale’s Hoek.
The home looks after vulnerable children who have been orphaned by Aids.
While he was there Harry made a documentary titled ‘The Forgotten Kingdom: Prince Harry in Lesotho’ which raised £1 million, including donations from the public, for the British Red Cross Lesotho Fund.
Some of these funds were used to help improve the children’s home and build a new dormitory, furnishing it with beds, heaters and electricity.
On his visit to the home in April 2006 to launch Sentebale Harry said it was “really encouraging” to see how things had improved.
