Youth Business International (YBI)

Youth Business International (YBI) was set up by the Prince of Wales as a joint venture between two of his charities the International Business Leaders Forum and The Prince’s Trust.

The charity seeks to tackle youth unemployment around the world by providing opportunities for young people to start their own enterprises.

In 1992 an Indian organisation, the Baharatiya Yuvi Shaki Trust, took The Prince’s Trust model and adapted it to meet the need of young people in India.

Other countries soon followed and now the YBI coordinates a network or programmes in more than 20 countries.

By drawing on the unrivalled experience of The Prince’s Trust, YBI works with business partners and organizations around the world to start up youth business programmes and provide mentors.

YBI works to develop new ideas, exchange best practices and build partnerships between business, governments and community groups.
