Caroline had been unemployed for a year before she heard about the Team programme. It gave her the sense of direction she needed, and now she has gone on to be a Young Ambassador for The Prince's Trust.
Caroline experienced such severe anxiety attacks she once had to be hospitalised. Feelings of uncertainty and worthlessness haunted her, and combined with lack of opportunities in her area and troubles at home, Caroline felt increasingly isolated.
She had been unemployed for a year before she heard about the Team programme, and immediately signed up. It gave her the sense of direction she needed and saw her confidence return. She went on to study art at university and then, wishing to start her own business, completed the Enterprise programme, funded by DEL/ESF, before successfully founding Facemates, a children’s entertainment business. She then became a Prince’s Trust Young Ambassador.
Always keen to attend events, Caroline has helped raise awareness of The Trust’s work by sharing her story with many supporters, volunteers and young people. She engaged in young people consultations and helped facilitate a training session for new volunteers.
Not only is Caroline a truly inspirational Young Ambassador, but the role has helped her grown in confidence. As a result she continues to flourish, and is focused on growing her business.
