On Wednesday 25th November, The Duchess of Cornwall shared a video message to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Her Royal Highness is a long-time advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Earlier this year The Duchess became Patron of domestic abuse charity, Safe Lives.
Following this, the Clarence House Twitter account joined in the “16 days of action” campaign by sharing resources and information from organsiations - working to end gender based violence. The series culminated on 10th December, International Human Rights Day. For over a fortnight, daily posts were shared with vital links to support services, help lines and web chats for those across the UK and internationally seeking help for themselves, neighbours, friends or family members.
