The Duchess of Rothesay (as The Duchess of Cornwall is known when in Scotland) today visited Alford Community Campus in Aberdeenshire and met schoolchildren and teachers who use the centre.
Alford Community Campus was officially opened in November 2015 and caters for pupils in early years, primary and secondary education. The campus features a library, theatre, dance studio, sports hall, gym, community rooms and a swimming pool and is well used by the local community.
The Duchess received a Scottish musical welcome and was invited to take part in some arts and crafts. Students showed off their talents during singing and dance performances.
The Royal visit came as Alford schools joined together at the campus for a celebration of harvest time. The schools had been working on a variety of projects and showed a range of produce, craft and art before the commemorative event in the theatre.
