Clarence House appoints BBC Wales Editor to be new Private Secretary for Wales

Published on 3rd April 2012

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have appointed BBC Wales’s Dr Grahame Davies as new senior adviser for their work in Wales, following the departure of Dr Manon Williams, after twelve years of Royal service.

Dr Davies, who is currently the Editor of Multimedia Newsgathering at BBC Wales, is also a published author and critic.

As the new Assistant Private Secretary, Grahame will be the senior adviser on Wales at Clarence House, organizing and attending all of Their Royal Highnesses’ Welsh visits, together with drafting speeches, preparing briefings and dealing with all related correspondence. He will spend two days each week working in Wales and three days at Clarence House.

Dr Davies will be taking up his new post in May 2012.
