The Prince of Wales at his Welsh home

A new programme by ITV Wales will be broadcast this week to mark 50 years since The Prince of Wales's Investiture.

'Charles: 50 Years a Prince' follows The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall during their annual tour of Wales and looks at His Royal Highness's special relationship with the nation.

The Prince is the longest serving Prince of Wales in history. His Royal Highness became Prince of Wales aged nine years old but it was not until eleven years later, in the summer of 1969, that he was formally invested with the title by The Queen.

'Charles: 50 Years a Prince' will be broadcast on ITV Wales at 9pm on Thursday 26th September.
