The Prince of Wales will launch the new Royal Parks charity in Hyde Park on Thursday 13th July. The new organisation has been created following the merger of the Royal Parks Agency and the Royal Parks Foundation.
On arrival in Hyde Park, HRH will tour the under construction Hyde Park ‘super’ nursery where he will meet horticultural apprentices and ground staff at work. HRH will also meet members of the construction team, before viewing the bi-folding Wimbledon-style roof of the football pitch-sized building which allows the plants to remain in situ during unpredictable weather.
HRH will then view one of the wildflower meadow areas within Hyde Park, where he will meet a group of local school children (St James and St John Church of England Primary School, Paddington) engaged in insect meadow sweeping. HRH will also be shown the Royal Park's Mission: Invertebrate story telling education 'snail ' (which is shaped like a snail), and meet members of its education team along with some children using the facility.
HRH will then be driven in a carriage pulled by two of the park's working shire horses to the Ranger's Lodge where he will join a reception with staff and volunteers.
During the reception Loyd Grossman, Chairman of the Royal Parks Board, will say a few words before HRH unveils a plaque to mark the occasion.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the National Literacy Trust (NLT) will host a reception to celebrate The Duchess's Bookshelves, an initiative to identify 70 of the nation's favourite children's books to mark Her Royal Highness's 70th birthday. The event will be attended by school children who will arrive on a bus conducted by comedian and author David Walliams, Clarence House, London SW1A 1BA.

The Prince of Wales will tour the The Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh, meeting school children learning about the Regiment's history and families who have donated letters to the Museum's 'Never Forget Your Welsh Heroes' campaign, Royal Welsh Regimental Museum, The Barracks, Brecon, Powys LD3 7EB.
The Prince of Wales will visit Llancaiach Fawr Manor, touring the house and gardens and meeting staff, gardeners and volunteers, Llancaiach Fawr, Gelligaer Road, Trelewis, Nelson CF46 6ER.
The Prince of Wales will tour The Royal Mint's new Visitor Centre, 'The Royal Mint Experience', meeting staff and local children and striking a commemorative coin, The Royal Mint, Heol-Y-Sarn, Llantrisant CF72 8YT.
The Prince of Wales, President, PRIME Cymru, will meet over 50s who have set up their own businesses with the charity's help, and will present awards at PRIME's annual ceremony, Craig y Nos Castle, Brecon Beacons National Park, Brecon Road, Pen-y-cae, Swansea SA9 1GL.

The Prince of Wales will attend a 'Harmony in Food and Farming' conference at Llandovery College, inspired by His Royal Highness's book 'Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World' and organised by the Sustainable Food Trust, Llandovery College, Llandovery SA20 0EE.
The Prince of Wales will tour Rachel's Organic, a company which produces organic yoghurt and will officially open the firm's new extension, before meeting employees, Rachel's Organic, Glan Yr Afon Industrial Estate, LLanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth SY23 3JQ.
The Prince of Wales will tour the historic Strata Florida site and will view plans for its renovation, before attending a reception with supporters of the Strata Florida Trust, and meeting school children learning about the site, Strata Florida, Abbey Road, Ceredigion SY25 6ES.
The Prince of Wales will officially open Volac International's new biomass plant in Ciliau Aeron, which uses sustainable wood fuel to produce energy, before attending a reception with staff and stakeholders, Volac International Ltd., Dyffryn Aeron Valley, Felinfach, Lampeter SA48 8AG.
The Prince of Wales will host a musical evening at his Welsh home, featuring performances by Michael Sheen and Owen Teale, as well as students of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Llwynywermod, Myddfai, Llandovery, Dyfed.
