Their Royal Highnesses kicked off their official week-long visit to Wales today, beginning their visit in Swansea.

The first visit for The Prince was to Swansea University, where he opened their new Bay Campus. The campus design was a partnership between Swansea University and The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community. The project exemplifies the principles of sustainable regeneration, showcasing a best practice approach to urban design, architecture, planning and construction. The campus will be a national centre for science and innovation and will lead to jobs and growth for Wales.

The Prince remained in Swansea where he attended an awards ceremony for his charity, PRIME Cymru. PRIME supports and mentors the over 50s who are looking for advice in how to start a new business. The awards ceremony were the charity’s chance to congratulate and recognise business owners who have been supported by PRIME and are now running a successful new business.
