The Prince of Wales visited Christ Church Spitalfields in London this morning and toured the newly restored crypt. After being greeted by local schoolchildren singing hymns, The Prince joined church members for a tour of the renovated space.
This 18th century church has undergone extensive restoration and its crypt was recently refurbished. The crypt now has many uses, including a dedicated prayer room, exhibition space and café.
His Royal Highness also unveiled a plaque at the church to mark the end of the 11 year refurbishment project.
After visiting the crypt, The Prince of Wales attended a workshop hosted by one of his charities, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community.
