Their Royal Highnesses visit the IRC in Berlin, 2019

To mark Refugee Week 2020, the International Rescue Committee are sharing the stories of refugees who have been volunteering and working on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In January, The Prince of Wales became the first UK Patron of the IRC. The organisation works in over 40 countries responding to humanitarian crises and is committed to restoring the lives of those devastated by conflict and disaster.

Last month, His Royal Highness sent a message of support to the IRC in recognition of their work in response to the health crisis, when he said:

I have been deeply impressed by accounts I have heard of the courageous and selfless efforts of these remarkable humanitarians responding on the frontline of this emergency.
