Never have nursing skills been so needed, or on such a worldwide scale.
On this International Nurses Day, in the international year of The Nurse and Midwife, my family and I want to join in the chorus of “thank yous” to nursing and midwifery staff all over the country and, indeed, the world. The current emergency has brought into sharp focus the invaluable role that nurses, midwives and healthcare support staff play in responding to the global fight against the COVID19 pandemic. Never have nursing skills been so needed, or on such a worldwide scale. Thank you all so much for the diligence and courage that you have shown.
