Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so pleased to be joining you all. I hope I haven't caused too much disruption to the work you do, not only here but also in other offices around the country. I must say I don't think I have ever seen so many health and safety experts in one place at any one time!
I'm thrilled that the company has the really good sense to employ so many ex-service people to such great effect. My belief has always been that the armed services are so well trained in so many different skills that they can be unbelievably valuable once they have left the armed forces. It's been so good to see all these medals around this morning.
If I may say so, I do hope the company goes from strength to strength, particularly as I am even more grateful for your great kindness and generosity with The Prince's Trust. Helping to keep my Trust out of as much trouble as possible! The fact that you do it pro bono is hugely appreciated and makes, I can't tell you, such a big difference to what my Trust can do all over the country.
Having said that, nothing could give me greater pleasure than to unveil this plaque and to declare this new building open - although I hear you are still working on putting it together!
