The Duchess of Cornwall supports her husband, The Prince of Wales, in carrying out his work and duties as Heir to The Throne. She also undertakes public engagements on behalf of the charities that she supports.

Since her marriage to The Prince of Wales in 2005, The Duchess of Cornwall has become Patron or President of a number of charities and regularly attends events to support them.

Her Royal Highness is a devoted grandmother and step-grandmother.

On 9th April 2012, Buckingham Palace announced that Her Majesty The Queen had appointed The Duchess of Cornwall to be a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO).

Here are some of The Duchess of Cornwall's official activities since her marriage to The Prince of Wales in 2005:

  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have undertaken 775 engagements together in the UK alone.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall has undertaken 832 engagements in the UK and overseas since 2005.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall has made official visits to 45 countries.
  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have been on 27 official overseas tours together.
  • The Duchess has taken part in 10 incoming State Visits.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall is Patron or President of 85 charities. Her Royal Highness is also Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen and is affiliated to 15 other organisations.
  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are joint Patrons or Presidents four organisations.
  • The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall share affiliations to 7 other organisations, including the Bondi Beach Surf Bathers Life Saving Club.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall is affiliated with eight regiments in the UK and the Commonwealth.
  • The Duchess of Cornwall's titles are; The Duchess of Cornwall: Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (2012); The Duchess of Rothesay; The Countess of Chester.
  • The Duchess also has two Foreign Orders: Order of the Star of Melanesia (Papua New Guinea) 2012 and the Grand-Croix, Ordre Nationale du Mérite (France) 2014.
