The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall started day three of #TRHinWales with a visit to the Grade II listed Pontypridd Lido. Their Royal Highnesses toured the recently restored site and met local residents who are benefiting from its new facilities.

Next stop for The Prince was to the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue centre, where he met young people benefitting from a 12-week long Team Programme, run by his Prince’s Trust. The programme helps unemployed 16-25 year-olds gain new skills and grow in confidence to help them find work. The young people The Prince met today have just finished their 12-week course and helped to refurbish the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue centre.
The Duchess, meanwhile, was in Cardiff, to help mark #RoaldDahl100, a year-long, nationwide celebration marking 100 years since the author’s birth. The Duchess met children taking part in a poetry workshop at the Norwegian Church, before enjoying Roald Dahl inspired performances at Cardiff’s Millennium Centre.
