Being able to source items with such a low handling charge is fantastic! The money adds up and we are able to give more to our beneficiaries - Sheryl Greentree, Water for Africa, Director and Trustee
Water for Africa was set up to improve sanitation and health of communities in Gambia by training local teams to drill bore holes providing clean and reliable water systems.
High visibility jackets and other work wear from In Kind Direct have been important to this project as health and safety is a big issue in Africa.
The charity’s original aim has now extended to include a new health care clinic in one of the communities in which they work. In Kind Direct has also been able to support this part of Water for Africa’s work by providing medical supplies such as syringes, needles, bandages, cotton wool and casting materials to stock the new clinic. These items are often prohibitively expensive in Africa as they are mainly imported. Sourcing such items through In Kind Direct helps Water for Africa’s funds to go further meaning they can improve the health of more African communities.
